I am writing this email to you, before I go to the Canadian Board and the human rights commision in Canada. My mother lives in Canada and was travelling to India. We chose Jet Airways and booked a two way ticket. My mother, recovering from cancer became ill and needed to be transported back. Jet Airways was full and she was unable to transfer the flight. Therefore, the next avialable flight was British Airways. We have been trying to get a refund or even a credit, so we can reuse the flight again and they are not agreeable. Expedia, a online travel agent has already tried as well. We are hoping you are able to resolve this, before we speak to our attorney about this issue,

makemytrip

I had tried to book air tickets through makemytrip.com. However the transaction  failed after the company receiving the money through debit card. The Booking Id: NF251323304442. It was subsequntly informed that the amount was refunded and particulars as under:

However till date the amount is not credited to the account. every time I call costumer care they simply ask me to wait for 72 hours. I feel the company is trying to cheat me by this type of transaction failure(intentional).

Autorickshaw fares

I have noticed over the last 3 months that most of the auto rickshaw drivers in Mumbai have started charging fares almost 20-25% in excess of the normal fares by tinkering with the meters.

This is done post their fare hike from 9 rs to 11 rs. Is there any way that this problem can be addressed.

Fast track Call taxi

Dear Sir,

I’m 28 weeks pregnant lady and booked call taxi through Fast Track Call Taxi for drop at Nungambakkam from Mugappair Eri Scheme at 5.30pm on 05.01.2011 (Wednesday). I booked the taxi well in advance at 12.15pm in view of traffic and to avoid other inconviniences. My booking number is 5545. I did not receive any call or sms from the said party till 5.20pm and hence i called them. Till that time they did not move any vehicle for my booking no. I was in deperation to reach the said destination by 6.30pm. I received sms from Fastrack by giving the vehicle no. 3146 and driver’s mobile no. as 7299303036 at 5.42pm. I called the driver and he said he was stranded at ambattur OT. Persons knowing tghe distance between ambattur and mugappair definitely know that it is not possible for him drop me at Nugambakkam at 6.30pm.

I was totally pushed into hardship, mental agony and stress since i had no means to catch another transport ( I’m pregnent and cannot move in auto or two wheeler) since the time was very less and i dint have any other options because i relied on their service.

I request your goodself to kindly look into this issue seriously

Fast Track Call Taxi -Chennai

I am raising this as a complaint and had to share a pathetic experience with Fast track Call Taxi service availed in Chennai.

On Saturday evening – December 4th 2010 – I had booked for a Fast Track Call Taxi in Chennai phone # 044 – 28889999. I had requested for call taxi pick up for Sunday Morning (December 5th 2010) 06:30 AM from East Tambaram MEPZ to Kilkatalai. I had communicated them there are totally 5 passengers and they in turn informed they will send an Omni cab. My Booking Reference number provided was 468. I had travelled to an outstation and returned to Chennai Tambaram via train and availed call taxi service hoping for a convenient house drop will lot of luggages and baggage from Tambaram station to Kilkatalai.

I received a call around 5:45 AM on Sunday (December 5th 2010) stating as assured earlier Omni cab was not available and they will send an alternative vehicle to boarding point. Till Sunday Morning (December 5th 2010) 06:35 AM I did not receive any information from fast track and I was waiting at boarding point provided by me. Then I called up fast track to check status who in turn provided me with Driver’s mobile number. I in turn called up driver and he said he will be there in another 10 minutes.

At last he arrived at the point by 7 AM (late by 30 mins) – car arrived was Indigo (Which is a premium vehicle and costlier than omni cab by atleast 40%). But since it was already late and I didn’t mind paying premium amount, I preferred to avail the cab. After boarding the cab with hefty luggages and after we sat inside, driver said there are totally 5 people excluding him and the vehicle capacity was only 4 +1 and refused to take the cab.

We were already tired after a journey and we were shocked to hear his reply. Then we narrated him that initial vehicle assured to us was Omni and this alternative vehicle was sent to us only after confirmation from fast track to us in morning. But he once again said that he will not move the cab with 5 people and asked one of us to get down. He asked to give a commitment if there is an intervention by Traffic Police that we (passengers) will bear the fine amount. We then called up 044-28889999 to explain and they in turn spoke to driver and told them it was their arrangement to send an alternative vehicle in last minute and asked him to move the vehicle. But the driver completely refused once again and argued with your fast track staff over phone. At the end of argument we were told by fast track staff to agree to pay the fine amount if there is any problem.

We were completely shocked to hear this and by that time it was already 7:30 AM and we had wasted more than 1 hour at the same boarding point. Finally the driver did not move the cab we alighted down the vehicle and took an alternative Just Dial call taxi and reached home after wasting 1 hour with a bitter experience.

Now my question to fast track team is :

· If you had changed your vehicle arrangement in last minute inspite of us intimating one day in advance on 5 passengers – why should passengers agree to pay fine amount in case of any problem?

· After being delayed for more than 1 hour – passengers did not finally avail your cab service and where is the assurance on passenger comfort atlast ? – will fast track able to compensate on 1 hour time and mental agony passengers had suffered ? (when it was not even in a position to agree to bear fine amount in case of any problem)

After this pathetic experience, we had decided we will never avail services from Fast Track in future and I had also shared it with more than 50 members who in turn had also decided not to avail fast track services.

Mumbai Taxi Service

I would like to lodge a complaint against Taxi No. MH-02-BQ-6816. The driver of this taxi refused to go by meter from 7-Bungalows (Andheri West) to Mahim West on Sunday, 16th January at 7:00 pm. He instead demanded Rs. 350/- which is more than double of the meter fare. When I objected he said, “That’s the way taxis function in this area”.

Meru Cabs

Hi,
I booked a cab for Yeshwantpur railway station from JP Nagar 5th phase for 05.00 AM in Meru cab services. They did not send the cab and did not inform us regarding not sending the cab. We did not recieve and SMS from their side in prior to inform us so that we could arrange some other cab/taxi/auto. This is the third time we faced ignorance from these cab companies so we want to register a complain now.

bus named sijo which plies between mamootilkadavu and kottiyam at 9 a.m dosent stop at kankathumukku which is the only bus for the students and working class. the bus dosent stop at kankathumukku which has made travelling through this place very uncomfortable and inconvenient. so pls take an urgemt step in this regrd

meeru cabs

I had placed a order for taxi service at 8.30 Pm and at 10.00 i get a call saying that there are no cabs in the area and this is the same with Megacab. Why have a online service, when you cannot even deliver.

all I got to know from a local- black and yellow taxi cabs is that all meeru and mega cabs are waiting for trips to airport or airport to churchgate.

If you are looking for service make sure you have a backup. these guys wont show up.

I regularly commute from IBM Panchshil building, Yerweda to RTO Alandi road. I always have a issue of getting a Autorickshaw for this shorter distance. The distance is less than 2 Kilometer .

Either auto rickshaws do not want to travel to that part or they ask for 30 rs to 40 rs minimum for that distance.

We have a auto rickshaw stand at Panchshil tower and also at Hariganga , Near RTO but they do not want to travel.

Will request you to please address this complaint

Hi Guys,
i keep traveling between CST to borivali.the quality of food ,water and services is just very substandard.
The sweets the serve are so low on quality and they are priced highly.
Duplicate eclairs,pan pasand,biscuits all sold at the price of the original..
a lot of people travel and spend a lot of time at the platforms …substandard quality of eatables only adds to our woe…. I hope you understand and take some action…
or else this too will be another flaw in the system.

I had send one Motor bike from NewDelhi to Coimbatore by train vide Way Bill No.0053011 dated 05-01-2011. Since I wanted it to be bought along with me, as directed by the parcel clerk, I took the bike two hours before the actual departure of the train and made the booking. I was given the assurance that it will be carried in the same train in which I was travelling ( PNR No: 211-5071416, Ticket No: 26635636, train No: 12626 Kerala express dated 05-01-2011). On arriving at Coimbatore station I came to know that the said item was not loaded in the same train. Until 10th January I used to enquire every day at the parcel office and used to get the same reply. There after I could make an enquiry only on the 19th and I was informed that the bike was brought to Coimbatore on 11th January. I had to pay a demurrage of Rs.1990/- vide Money Receipt No:940637 dated 19-01-2011 to get the bike released.
I would like the answers to the following Questions of Mine.
1.Having told by the booking clerk and taking all the pain to book my Bike 2 hours before the departure of the train, why the bike was not loaded in the same train?
2. Why the bike once it arrived in Coimbatore Junction even though the address and telephone number was given, no effort was made to contact me?
3. Indian Railways is sole responsible for the late arrival of my Bike and why railways does not take a responsibility of it and instead charge me on a hourly basis?
4. I was told that the bike will be kept only for 6 hours once it arrives and from then it will be charged? On What basis will I know on which train my Bike was coming when actually it was intended to come on the same train I was travelling?
Hope you will answer my queries.
