Dear Sameer,

I am looking for a answer to my below email and not your terms and conditions which were never given to be while paying cash to you. I am sure you can read the questions raised. Looking forward to a reply to my questions. Also since you are in business from 1994 you should know how essential is it to inform the customer about your terms and conditions before the purchase. The reply you have given me today is not the queries i raised and is also given in general and that too after a week of regularly calling your company who are not willing to give a answer in a email and are sure to argue over the phone. I WOULD NEED A WRITTEN REPLY.

>I had recently purchased a dimond ring on 7th Jan and Couldnot take a delivery uptill today as the ring was supposed to be modified to size. However we were not informed about the terms and conditions of exchage etc at the time of sale. The sales man Mr Pankaj Markote confirmed that he had not done so. Also he said that it was customers job to enquire all details before purchase. When she talked to Mr Rajesh Kumar (Area Sales Manager) yesterday he on the contrary said that terms and conditions are on warrenty card and as well as on website so we should have checked it there. I have a few Questions for you.
>1. Warrenty card is handed to a customer after the sale and not before and that too doesnot have detailed terms and conditions.
>2. If we are buying a product of the shelf then there is no question of checking it online. If we need to check it online then the product should be sold online as well.
>3. it is the duty of sales agent to give us all terms and conditions of sales before the actual sale is made and not after.

I find it rather strange for Mr Rajesh to use words life our complaint is “FAKE” what is he trying to say that we are lying.

I had again been to your shoppers stop outlet today and talked to Mr Rajesh over the phone multiple times but once he finally agreed to Refund the entire amount and then he again called back claiming that he had a talk with mumbai office and they cant refund anything. If he doesnot have any authority then he sould not commit refunds. Also i had asked him to give me what ever he is claiming on his letter head which he plainly refused. I will wait for a written responce of the same for 7 days.

Sir,
I have ordered some books and a watch (order no. 77083 dated 23.12.2010) (Membership no. BIT100014220) which was received on 22.01.2011. I received all the items (Invoice no. TRNPL/DLI/10-11/120638 dated 31.12.2010). And to claim my diamond jewelery voucher they ask to log on to www.bagittoday.com/promos.htm with the unique number printed on the voucher. I tried a lot but the unique number is not accepting. I tried over phone (011-40502424) and it is always busy.
Kindly help me to get my diamond jewellery voucher.
Yours Sincerely,

Joyalukkas M G Road Blr

6:55 am in Jewelry & Watches by Consumer Complaints

Most Pathetic & Crappy Staff – Unbelievably Poor customer Service.

I visited Joyalukkas on M G road to buy bangles on 1st week of Oct 2010. They had nice collection but dint have proper size ( we needed 2.2 size and they has 2.3). We liked one design and placed an order (47.2gms) which they said will take 20 days..
I paid the entire cash of 1 lakh in advance. The rate for that day was Rs.1834/gm.

After 30 days when we went back we got the bangle of same design but a different thickness and the bangle dint look like the one we ordered.
I informed the staff that i need same thickness like the bangle we ordered & they asked us for 20days more time.. After several follow they once again got a bangle of a smaller thickness & not the one we ordered.
I was extremely upset & asked the staff that they need to give us some discount as i had paid the entire money & now i cant even take the refund bcoz the gold rate has gone up.

Finally after 3 months wait on 6th Jan 2011 we got the bangles we ordered with 5 gms more weight than what we had ordered(52.7) .. when i spoke to the senior staff ( Alwin WIlson) he was very rude and dint know how to speak the customer .. He kept calling his manger for help and went on in Malayalam which we dint understand & kept banging the receiver with an angry face.. He did not understand what we were trying to say & he also said it’s not their problem it was the goldsmith who had messed it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (WOW …Unbelievable right???)
I was persistent & refused to pay the extra amount (some 11k) ( rate Rs.1900) and asked for a discount as we dint have any spare cash for the month.

Later we spoke to the manager & he said he can’t help & asked us to take our money back and leave. That is the last thing you expect in service after waiting for 3 months..
After which i lost my temper & started to shout in front of all the other customer’s that why should i lose the money for the stupid mistake they did when the gold rate has gone up(Rs.1910). If I have to buy the same gold outside taking the money back it will easily cost me 3,000 more.

I have also come across few other people who has also told me that they always take orders increase the gms with out customers approval.
Being in Bangalore you cant find even a single staff who can speak good English or Kannada for that matter..

I am looking for the Directors mail id to complain on the same. SO requesting you all to be very carefull if you want to purchase here or I would suggest PLZ DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE AS THEY DON’T RESPECT THEIR CUSTOMER & also have the most Pathetic & Crappy Staff..

Gold Dealers in General in Dombivli

6:55 am in Jewelry & Watches by Consumer Complaints

Gold Prices
The gold prices are widely fluctuating since last two months. Gold prices in the first week of Jan were around Rs20500 per 10 grams for 24 carat gold. (Prices as per moneycontrol.com). I went to buy a 24 carat swiss gold bar of 10 grams at a jeweller in Dombivli. I enquired about the prices at several places. All of them quoted around Rs20900 for the said 10 gram bar.

On 24th January, the prices dipped sharply to Rs 19800 (Prices as per moneycontrol.com) per 10 gram. I once again went to buy a gold bar intending to benefit from the above price dip and hence checked the prices with a few jewellers. To my surprise, despite a dip of Rs 700 per 10 grams, the jewellers quoted the same price of Rs20900 per 10 gram, quoting urealistic reasons and saying this is the lowered price and this is the lowest price they can afford to give.

On the other hand, if the prices shoot up, and I try to sell off my gold bar to them, they offer almost 700 to 800 less than the price appearing on moneycontrol.com. Thus they make a sum of almost 1600-1800 per 10 Grams which is clearly an unfair trade practice.

I would like to know the reason for the above. Even when there are wide fluctuations in the gold prices in market, retailers refuse to offer gold at the revised lower prices but are always ready to increase the prices if the marker price goes up. Is there any mechanism to curb this utterly unfair trade practice?
