Service center doesn’t care
Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Arunjunai Raja Shankar, a Lenovo Y550 user ( S/N : CBQ0360627 ). I am a student studying in IIT kharagpur.

I recently had problems with my battery and when I checked with the service centre nearby which is in Kolkata, 150 kms away, they told me that I should change it. So I paid them money and received a battery on 28/2/2011. When I installed the battery in my machine, it was not compatible and the power light goes blinking between red and white, and the battery status said power plugged in but not charging. So I told the same to the service center and they asked to bring it back. Till now, I have wasted three days in traveling to and fro in these three months and wasted my money, and believe me it is not easy to get ticket to travel there.

Its been three months now and still I’ve not received my battery in working condition, I am fed up with this…. Every time I go there, they used to they replaced the battery and its a new one. When I check the serial number, its the same… I dunno why are they lying to me… What should I do. ???

Now the battery is with them, Digital Care center, Sarat Bose road, Kolkata. I had enough, they should escalate this problem or at least refund my money.

Cant Trace my laptop

I Gave my laptop to HP for the repair on 4th april 2011 and its been 24 days and they are not able to trace my laptop. I called staples and HP both, HP’s customer service is so bad they are just giving me run around and not giving me the exact solution. I bought this laptop on 15th december 2010 and with in 3 months the laptop stopped working. I should have not bought an HP laptop. I hope this thing gets resolved soon.

Fully disappointed with DELL Laptop and Service

Dear Sir,

I have bought my Lap top at Jan 2011, in these three and half months, more than Past TWO and Half months I am facing the issues with My DELL laptop like “BATTERY IS NOT WITHSTAND FOR MORE THAN 30 TO 40 MINUTES AND PEN DRIVE PORTS ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND SYTEM GETTING OVERHEAT AND SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY GETTING SWITCHED OFF AND SWITCHED ON AND SYSTEM HANGING”, etc.

I am facing these many issues, for that I have contacted dell service for past TWO and Half months. They are keep on changing my laptop parts only (Motherboard Second time and Battery Fourth time and some other parts that for I am facing the problems in Pen Drive port and overheat and automatically system getting switched off and switched on) but it not at all giving any improvement. Instead of that it keeps on increasing my problems one by one so I am fully dissatisfied and fed up with DELL LAPTOP. Actually I bought my laptop for my PROJECT USE but I am unable to use the laptop for what purpose I have bought (my studies purpose). My Laptop is sitting ideally in my home. I don’t know what to do. From Dell side I am not getting any problem resolved solution. They are doing experiment with my system and they are manipulating the things and keep on changing the parts only, if DELL keeps on doing like this how my laptop will be fit for long-term?? I am not buying for one year purpose I bought for my own personal use I have spent around Rs 39000 for this laptop but I fell very badly about the dell service.
Just check how many times I have made a call to customer service but there is no use in that. They are simply manipulating and sayings do this that etc. Every time they are giving assurance, if you will facing the same problem again we will replace the system but still now I did not get new system and my problems also not yet resolved instead of that the problem keeps on increasing one by one. Last time they have taken the new system request, after two days they said your request has rejected. I don’t know whats going on. I am fully dissatisfied with DELL. I believed dell is good that’s why I have bought it and I have recommend to my friends also but now it’s totally in the opposite side.
Please do the needful.

My laptop has beep sound when booting.Some times it does not have.I called dell techniacl Supoort.They told some but not solve. Then told tool for open the Keyboard.I have not that.Then some times problem is not see.But Today it started again.So Kindly solve the problem by home servicing.Please Reach Before 29thDecember

Dear sir,
i had purchased a notebook[laptop] model no. HP PAV. DV-6-3019 TU SNO. INAO4005 PJ FROM M/S HP WORLD,B-29/216/1,KOCHAR MARKET,Ludhiana on DATED–20/12/10. On use of the notebook same day of the purchase it was found that 1 USB driver was unserviceable and facts were brought to the notice of the said dealer. On the very next day ,the said dealer advised us to take the notebook to H.P.Service Center,Mandok Bldg,Ludhiana .The defective notebook was delivered to the above said HP Service center on dated 27 Dec 2010 and it was told that the same will be checked within a day and outcome regarding replacement/repair of the notebook will be intimated but to my surprise on regular persuation ,it was intimated after 3 days intimating there is problem in the USB Chord and the same shall be brought from chennai etc. within 3 days.It may be seen that after taken of the defective notebook which was purchased 2/3 days back,has not been delivered till date and no intimation is being given to us by the HP Service center and it shows very poor performance of service after sale.
2) It is requested that the defective notebook be replaced imediately since the same has not been used by the customer even for 2 days although spending a heavy price and that gives a very wrong message of ur reputed company to the customer.

Respected Sir,

I had been offered a TATA Photon Plus Internet connection at subsidized prize due to offer with my laptop, at the time of purchase of my laptop (samsung R28). I was told by the shop from where I purchased my laptop that the internet connection of TATA photon Plus was free with it for 1 mnth. I was not informed about the whereabouts of what or upto what capacity it was free and if ibspite of it being free , any minimum paymnt was required. However after the passage of 1 mnth when i saw that my connection was being continued, I was curious to know why the free time period had been expanded or the details of my connection. When I called up the laptop shop from where at the time of purchase, the connection was given I was informed that my Connection was being contiued as because I was already put onto a 799 rental plan with a credit limit of Rs 2500 had been assigned to my number. I was shocked as nothing was informed to me about this.
Since I was interested in a prepaid Photon Plus connection, I wanted to know why I had not been informed of this and why any information about which plan I should be in was not given to me. I did not even have knowledge about the various postpaid plans available.I also went to TATA teleservice hub (main shop) in Park street kolkata and spoke of my grievance to the manager of the shop. After hearing my complaint , he said that I had signed a CAF(Customer application form) giving consent to TATA Teleservices that I be offered a postpaid connection under Photon Plus. But since nothing iof that had happened I demanded on seeing the signature on the CAF which had my consent signature. They showed it to me and i saw that it was a signature done in my name by someone else. I myself had not signed it or had any knowledge of it.
The Manager of the shop made further enquiries on learning that I had not signed the CAF and that the sign had been faked by someone else. He came to know that my sign on the CAF form had been faked by someone in his sales team to make the sell of that Photon plus Connection. On knowing this I requested that necessary action be takren in this matter or else full paymnt could not be made by me as the usage charge by then had already been levied on my number. The Mangaer promised to look into the matter but nothing happened and instead I was asked to make a paymnt of Rs 2942 without any kind of settlement, adjustment etc.
On 22nd dec 2010, I further received a letter at my postal address sent by an Advocate demanding paymnt of the same Outstanding amt of Rs 2492, and with a threat that it may lead me into legal proceedings, in the event of non paymnt of the above mentioned amount within 7 days.
No action whatsoever has been taken by now for my complaint of having cheated me to forcefully take a postpaid Photon Plus internet connection and having faked my signature also on the CAF for which I had no prior information. No necessary action for such fradulent activity by such a reputed Company as TATA teleservices has been taken so far and on top of that I am being forced to make the entire outstanding amount a pymnnt of Rs 2942. I could have checked my usage on my internet account had i known what type of connecton or what postpaid plan I was using but TATA teleservices did not for once think it necessary to inform me as a customrer of the same.

I beg, that necessary action in this matter be taken for me being cheated at the hands of TATA Teleservices Ltd , so that a similar kind of harassment and fraud does not happen with anybody else. My TATA teleservices plus connection number is :9230616723 for which the outstanding bill is Rs 2942.Looking forward to proper action being taken for my grievance.

As per the commitment of your sales executive Mr Rajdeep Sarkar for
The above given service number, service and replacement of specific part was not provided in time.
It has caused a lot of inconvenience to me since payment was done long time back (Friday 26th November)
I was committed that the problem will be resolved in 3 working days from day of payment.
Initially your sales executive used to call up frequently to make payments, but after payment was done everyone disappeared. There was no response to my calls and neither your service manager helped to salvage the problem
I was told on 3rd afternoon that a service engineer will come by evening 8 pm n get things done.. But no one came to resolve the issue. The person carrying the laptop had to fly back to London that night itself
Your service engineer came on 4th(Saturday) noon and did the necessary changes.
There is no point paying a sum of money to your company for causing so much inconvenience
. Your sales executive’s r just behind completing their sales targets by giving false commitments
If you cannot keep your service, please don’t get into business.
I was sure that the service here is so pathetic; nobody will entertain your warranty abroad (international) as well
Now I have managed to send the same Laptop to the person in London., but again same problem.. It has stopped working.. now calling the dell center they ask for service charge there in pounds which come up to the same amount i have paid here …
fortunately one of my friend flying back from London has bought back the Laptop here …
I feel very annoyed and unfortunate to be associated with DELL
